Give a vintage tablecloth a second life by transforming it into a short-sleeved top you’ll actually want to wear.
In this hands-on sewing class, you’ll learn how to cut, construct, and embellish a garment using reclaimed textiles. Working with both a sewing machine and an overlocker, you’ll create the structure of your top, then add expressive detail through appliqué and hand embroidery.
Participants are welcome to bring their own vintage tablecloth, or you can purchase one from Fiona on the day if you don’t already have something suitable.
The focus of this class is on transformation, creativity, and mindful making — not perfection. You’ll be encouraged to work at your own pace, explore the character of your fabric, and make design choices that feel personal.
